    We are looking for a Sales and Business Development Manager to join Cyclehoop. This role is to manage, lead and grow a team of 5 sales staff and work with other departments to drive the business forward. The existing sales team has 3 UK Client and Account Executives, 1 Export Sales Executive and 1 Project Support Officer. This role will report to the Managing Director and work closely with other department managers.

    Key objectives

    • Secure Cyclehoop’s position as the UK’s leading cycle parking provider and grow our export sales. Diversify our sales into other key sectors.
    • Grow and retain our extensive list of existing customers, penetrate further into existing client’s budgets and increase repeated sales and improve customer service.
    • Identify opportunities, develop new business and achieve sustainable financial growth and in line with Cyclehoop’s company direction.

    Brief Description

    • Understand the company’s goal and purpose in order to continue to enhance the company’s performance
    • Improve current business models and sales practices
    • Develop Sales and Business Strategy in line with the company goals and align it with the Marketing Strategy
    • Develop Export Sales Strategy with Export Sales Executive, assist with distributor management
    • Develop and maintain sales pipeline for the company
    • Proactively identify and source new business opportunities including new clients and sectors to target, funding opportunities, market requirements and product opportunities
    • Provide direction for development or improvement of the company’s product and services or distribution channels
    • Plan approaches and pitches. Develop proposals that matches the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
    • Manage the sales team, distribute leads and ensure targets are met
    • Train and mentor the sales team, carry out monthly one-to-one performance reviews and manage staff HR
    • Attend industry events and conferences and provide feedback and information on markets and trends
    • Work alongside Marketing Manager to develop collateral, agree marketing activities and spend as well as plan and prepare presentations for clients presentations
    • Monitor competitors products and services, pricing and understand their USP’s
    • Research and understand UK and overseas market sectors
    • Manage a small number of key accounts (20% of time spent on own sales)
    • Support sales team in creation of tender responses, PPQ’s, presentations and proposals.
    • Conduct relevant sales process administrative tasks

    • Experienced in using Salesforce or similar CRM systems
    • Experienced in using ERP software
    • Experience in managing a small, diverse team within a small to medium-sized business

    We are looking for dedicated and hard-working team members to provide maintenance services to our products across London. We manage many bicycle shelters, bicycle pumps and repair stands across London and provide scheduled maintenance and cleaning and repairs when required.

    We encourage eco-friendly forms of transport and maintenance will primarily be carried out using bicycles/cargo bikes for tools and equipment. Occasionally maintenance will be carried out using company vans.

    You must have a positive attitude, willing to learn and be a team player. Applicants should enjoy cycling and be confident cyclists with a good knowledge of London roads. We are looking for candidates with good mechanical background who is able to assemble and rebuild our products.

    Our base of operations is in Lower Sydenham, South London and you will be required to travel here regularly. Some maintenance work will also be required in the workshop.

    Main responsibilities

    • Travel by bicycle to carry out maintenance/repairs and cleaning of bicycle shelters, public bike pumps, repair stands and other Cyclehoop products

    Requirements

    • Confident cycling on London roads
    • Clean Full UK driving license, able to drive our company vans.
    • Good manual skills and experience using various power tools
    • Must be physically fit, strong and able to handle heavy items
    • Based locally in South London (desirable)
    • Good knowledge of London roads
    • Awareness of Health and Safety and ability to practice safe working methods
    • Positive attitude
    • Ability to adapt and come up with creative solutions to solve problems

    Work period and hours

    • Part-time or full-time contract work starting immediately.
    • Work will be based at our workshop in Lower Sydenham, SE26
    • We pay London Living Wage £9.75 per hour

    We are looking for dedicated and hard working team members to work on exciting new projects. You must have a positive attitude, willing to learn and be a team player. We are looking for candidates with construction experience and good mechanical skills who can follow instructions to build and assemble our products to a high standard. Based in Sydenham, South London, we work on projects across London and also throughout the UK. This is an opportunity to develop your skills and work in one of the UK’s most innovative cycle parking companies.

    Main responsibilities

    • You will be working in teams to carry out the installation of our products at our client’s sites. These include the installation of bicycle racks, shelters and other infrastructure.
    • Prepare and load products and tools onto vehicles at the warehouse
    • Drive company vehicle to installation sites
    • Unload materials safely and check sites prior to installation
    • Follow instructions and drawings to carry out the installation
    • Liaise with clients on site and ensure projects are installed correctly and to the highest quality
    • Communicate with team members and keep manager updated on progress
    • Maintain tidiness of vehicles, toolboxes and warehouse
    • You will also be required to help with the preparation and assembly of products in the warehouse as well as other duties when required

    Requirements

    • Clean Full UK driving license, able to drive our company vans.
    • Good manual skills and experience using various power tools
    • Experienced in construction
    • Must be physically strong and able to handle heavy items
    • Awareness of Health and Safety and ability to practice safe working methods

    Desirable

    • Based locally in South London
    • CSCS card
    • First Aid trained

    Work details

    • Full-time work starting immediately
    • Training and will be provided
    • Installation teams will start work between 6-8am
    • Work will start from our Sydenham and you will occasionally be required to go directly from home to site
    • Salary to be London Living Wage
