Cyclehoop providing 3000 bike parking spaces at the London Surrey Cycle Classic

Cyclehoop are pleased to announce it has teamed up with the Olympic Delivery Authority to provide temporary bicycle parking at the London-Surrey ‘Classic’ bike race this Sunday, 14th of August 2011.

The world famous race is over 140km long and passes through London and the beautiful Surrey countryside. It is seen as one of the most important test events for the upcoming London Olympics.

Cyclehoop will have two sites, one at the Mall in Central London and one at Box Hill, Surrey where visitors to the race can park their bicycles. We have teamed up with the London Cycle Campaign who are providing volunteers to help out on the day.

In addition we are providing a tagging service where owners and their bikes will be provided with a matching security tag which needs to be checked upon exit.

On top of this added security Cyclehoop have also brought in HaveBike, the bike mechanic specialists, to provide emergency repairs to visitor’s bikes, to ensure that they can make it home.

Liam Suter from Cyclehoop said: “Cyclehoop are proud to assist the Olympic Delivery Authority with its goal to encourage sustainable and environmentally friendly travel. We hope that by providing this cycle parking more Londoners will choose to cycle to events, and ultimately instill a greater cycling culture within our community.”

Cyclehoop is enthusiastic about delivering temporary cycle parking to many more events in future and aim to constantly innovate and build on our wealth of experience to become the UK leader in innovative and effective temporary bike parking.
