We would like to thank those of you who joined us on Friday evening at Barrio Central to celebrate our 5th year anniversary.

Since starting business in 2008 we have received a tremendous amount of support from the cycling community, local authorities and many more. Without it we would not be where we are today, so a huge thank you to all of you who have helped our business grow from strength to strength.

We hope the next five years will be even more successful.

Cyclehoop’s ‘IBikeLondon’ bike rides are proving to be a huge success with over one hundred cyclists attending the most recent ride on Saturday.

Cyclists gathered in anticipation in Victoria Park at 10.30am on 4^th May to take part in our Nautical themed ride. It was great to see that many dressed for the occasion in Nautical stripes, sailor hats and pirate flags.

We rode east towards the Olympic stadium before reaching the Green Way, a completely traffic free pathway leading to the Royal Docks. When reaching Woolwich we embarked on a ferry, taking in the striking views. Once over the other side we cycled along the docklands and past the impressive Thames flood barrier, before heading to Vibe Bar on Brick Lane for much needed food and drinks.

IBikeLondon rides take place at 10.30am on the first Saturday or Sunday of every month and aim to promote cycling as a safe and social activity, while exploring different parts of London. Each ride has a unique theme. To entertain and motivate the cyclists on the rides, the Cyclehoop team have designed and created a music bike.

The next ride will take place on Sunday 2^nd June and will give cyclists the opportunity to explore the panoramic views of the City. If you would like to find out more information or are interested in attending the ride please follow the link to our IBikeLondon website.

Cyclists from around the Capital gathered on Wednesday evening to celebrate the very best of cycling products, projects and champions, at the London Cycling Campaign (LCC) 2013 award ceremony.

Cyclehoop are proud to have been a part of it by sponsoring the Best Retailer category, which was won by Cycle Surgery.

The evening was a huge success with lots of new faces, reflecting the growing popularity of cycling in the City. It was a pleasure to watch ITV’s Tour de France presenter, Ned Boulting, announcing the winners.

Those of you who arrived by bike will have noticed our eye catching Car Bike Port outside the venue, which was used for temporary cycle parking.

Well done to all the winners and a huge thank you to LCC for organising a successful evening.

Cyclehoop are currently installing over 60 secure Bikehangars on residential roads across London. Residents in the area will be able to rent a space in a Bikehangar near them, by logging onto Cyclehoop’s online portal and paying a small annual fee and key deposit.

The Bikehangar offers protection from theft and the elements for up to six bicycles. It is the first bike locker to be granted permission to be installed on the highway. Two can be installed in one car parking space, therefore creating 12 cycle parking spaces. The bike racks inside allows users to lock both their wheel and frame, ensuring maximum security.

The online portal was launched in March. Residents can quickly search and register for a cycle parking space close to them. Cyclehoop will fully manage the online portal and maintain the cycle parking storage for the duration of the contract making it as hassle free as possible for local authorities.

Cyclehoop have partnered with Evans Cycles to launch a new cycle parking provision for their clients. Evans Cycles clients can receive a free site audit and discount off cycle parking products.

We are excited to announce that our Car Bike Port displayed its first ever advertising panel at Cycle City in Birmingham. The event took place on 25th and 26^th April and attracted local authorities, businesses, public health bodies and cycling enthusiast from across the country.

Cyclehoop exhibited at the two day event which aimed to promote cycling and develop strategies to get more people cycling more safely in British cities.

Our Car Bike Ports were used as temporary cycle parking outside the event. The advertising panel was sponsored by Urban Movement who specialises in research, planning, strategy and design for streets, spaces and transport.

The previous bike racks were not enclosed which caused many issues for residents, including vandalism and theft of bicycles, strangers parking their bikes on the cycle racks and abandoned bikes blocking available spaces.

The bike enclosure which can be seen from Putney Bridge tube station features custom made prison mesh and a self-closing key operated door. Inside comprises of a combination of Sheffield stands and toast racks creating a total of 64 cycle parking spaces.

Cyclehoop completed the installation over three days and it was instantly well received, as we were putting the finishing touches to the shelter a gentleman arrived on his bike, collected his key from the site manager and securely stored his bike on the racks.
