Sheffield Stand

Sheffield Stands are a mainstay cycle parking product for public spaces, workplaces, commercial centres, public services and residential developments – anywhere where people need to park a bike. Constructed from 3mm thick recyclable steel, the Sheffield Stand is shaped to allow users to lock their bike at the frame and both wheels. It is also suitable for non-standard cycles, including cargo bikes and trikes. With a choice of high quality finishes and customisation options, the Sheffield Stand is essential to make your project cycle friendly.

Fixing options

Root fixed – The stand is set 300mm into the groundwork, in concrete pockets. The ends are crimped to prevent removal. This option is suitable for projects where the groundwork is being completed at the same time; surfacing or paving can then be laid flush with the tubing. Root fixed stands can be fitted to existing groundwork by digging 200 x 200 x 300mm concrete pockets.

Surface mount – Surface mounting is suitable for projects where the groundwork has already been completed. We supply 75mm expanding ground anchors with all surface mount stands. The groundwork must be robust and over 100mm deep. Surface mounted stands can also be secured with threaded rods and chemical adhesive, and fixed with shear nuts to prevent removal with conventional tools.

Options

The optional tapper plate or tapper tube feature allows visually impaired pedestrians to identify the presence of a cycle stand. Parking stickers can be added to the flat sides of a tapper plate Sheffield Stand.

Finish options

The stand is available in a durable galvanised finish, brushed stainless steel or polyester powder coat in any RAL colour. Contact us for further information about custom RAL colours.
